Quick and healthy breakfast with Oats. Here is recipe for you all to try.
Ingredients
- Oats 1/2 cup, roasted
- Brown Bread / Oats bran bread 4 slices
- Yogurt 1/2 cup, low fat
- Yellow bell pepper 1 tbsp, chopped
- Red bell pepper 1 tbsp, chopped
- Carrot 1 medium size, grated
- Green chilli 2 chopped
- Tomato ketch up 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder
- Salt
Method
Dry roast oats in a pan for 3 -4 minutes till light golden. Take a medium size bowl and whisk yogurt well till smooth. Now add tomato ketch up, black pepper powder, salt, and mix well. Add grated carrot, green chilli, red and yellow capsicum, combine well.
Toast the bread slices applying little butter in a pan. Spread 2 tbsp of the oats mixture on one side of the toasted bread slice. Serve immediately.
NB: If you don't want to put green chilli you can omit that. If you like any aroma add some mint leaves or rosemary . If you want to use two slices, then cover with another size and toast the sandwich on a non stick pan on both sides till golden. Enjoy cooking..
