Yellow Plum and Beet Salad

Plums are low in calories and contain no saturated fats, they hold health promoting compounds, minerals and vitamins. Plums especially yellow plums are a moderate source of vitamin A and beta carotene.  Minerals like potassium, fluoride and iron. So try to include plums in your diet. Beetroot we know its good for our health. So here is yellow plum beet salad recipe for you all to try.

  • Yellow Plum 3, sliced
  • Beetroot 1 medium size, steamed
  • Mint Leaves few , chopped
  • Pine kernels 1 tbsp
  • Balsamic Vinegar 1 1/2 tsp
  • Olive Oil 1 tsp
  • Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt

Wash and remove seed from the yellow plums, then slice and keep it aside. Clean and cut beetroot, then steam the beetroot for 8 to 10 minutes or boil and cook beetroot and keep it aside. Now take a bowl, add balsamic vinegar, olive oil, pepper powder and salt, mix well. Add steamed beetroot, sliced plum and mint leaves, combine well. Add pine kernel and mix well. Keep it in the fridge for 20 minutes then serve.

NB: If you don't have balsamic vinegar use normal white vinegar plus honey or lime juice plus honey. Enjoy cooking..
