Curd Rice Noodles

Yum
Curd Rice, its more eaten by the South Indians as part of meal. Rice and Curd are the 2 main ingredients to make this dish. Its called thayir sadam in Tamil. Curd rice can be made in deferent ways. Here I made Curd Rice Noodles.  Same way how we make curd rice instead of rice I used flat rice noodles. Got idea from malayalam television shaw De Chef, last week episode one participant tried curd rice nudles, don't remember what all ingredients added exactly, just got an idea and made in my way. Here is recipe for you all to try.

Ingredients
  • Rice Noodles 250 gm
  • Curd 1 1/2 to 2 cups
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Ginger 1 small piece, chopped
  • Dry Red Chilli 2 nos
  • Curry Leaves 2 sprigs
  • Cumin Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil
Method

Cook rice noodles as per the packet instructions, drain water and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan splutter mustard seeds, then add chopped ginger and saute well. Now add dry red chilli, cumin powder and curry leaves, stir well. Add cooked rice noodles, and saute for a minute. Keep the flame in low and add curd mix well. Add salt and mix well. Put off the flame and sprinkle some pomegranate seeds and serve. Serve with tomato thokku or any pickle.

NB: If you don't like more sour taste of the curd can add little milk along with curd so it balance the sour taste. I like little sour taste so didn't add. Enjoy cooking..
