Carrot Tomato Rasam, easy and healthy. Its rich in vitamin A, B, C, Zinc, Magnesium and Potassium. Its little thick, I didn't use any lentils still it has thick consistency. Here is deferent and delicious carrot tomato rasam recipe for you all to try.
- Carrot 2 chopped
- Tomatos 2 chopped
- Dry Red Chilli 2 nos
- Garlic 4 nos, crushed
- Coriander Leaves few chopped
- Curry Leaves 1 sprig
- Mustard Seeds 2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Powder 1 tsp
- Asafoetida a pinch
- Sugar a pinch
Grind carrot and tomato in a mixer grinder with water and extract juice and keep it aside.
Heat pan or medium size sauce pan with oil add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Now add crushed garlic, dry red chilli, curry leaves and asafoetida.
Now add carrot tomato juice then add turmeric powder, freshly ground cumin, pepper powder and salt mix well. Once it start boiling add sugar and put off flame. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice.
NB: If you want more sour taste then you can add tamarind water also. Instead of red chilli you can use green chilli also. Enjoy cooking.
