Chicken Mini Pot Pie

If you are bored with sandwiches and wraps, this is a must try. Its chicken mini pot pie, delicious and comfort food. Im sure kids will love this little cute pies. Here is recipe for you all to try.


  • Butter 3 tbsp
  • Chicken Breat 250 sms, cooked with salt and pepper  and shredded 
  • Onion 1 medium size, chopped finely
  • Carrots 2 small one, chopped finely
  • Potato 1 medium size, boiled and cut into small cubes
  • Green Peas 1/4 cup, frozen
  • Green Chilli 2 nos, chopped finely
  • Garlic 2 cloves, chopped
  • Capsicum Red / green medium one, chopped
  • Oregano 1/2 tsp, dried
  • Parmesan Cheese 1 tbsp , grated
  • Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
  • All purpose Flour 2 tbsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Salt
  • Egg  1 for brushing
  • Puff Pastry / Pie crust


Preheat oven to 250 degree C for 10 minutes. Grease muffin trey with butter and keep it aside. Keep out the puff pastry or pie crust from the freezer, read the instructions in the packet and use accordingly.

Melt 3 tbsp of water in a skillet, once it melts add chopped onion and saute well. Add the chopped garlic and chopped green chilli and saute well. Add carrot and green peas mix well and cover and cook for 2 minutes on low flame. Now add cooked and cubed potatoes and cooked chicken mix well. Add chopped capsicum, salt and pepper powder combine well. Now add all purpose flour and saute for few seconds, add milk whisk out all the lumps. Now add parmesan cheese and oregano and combine well. Just check the seasoning if need add accordingly. 

Use a glass or cookie cutter, cut out circles of puff pastry or pie crust. Take the greased muffin trey and carefully place the circled pie crust or puff pastry in each cups of the muffin trey. Add 1 tbsp of chicken mixture into each cups. Sprinkle some parmesan cheese on top. Now cut some strips from the pie crust or puff pastry and place it on top as shown above picture. Now mix egg with little milk and brush on top of the pie. 

Reduce oven temperature to 200 degree C and bake for 20 to 25 minutes till it gets light brown on top. 

NB:  You can make this pot pie only with vegetables. You can use left over cooked chicken or turkey for this recipe. If you like can add some more cheese and milk for a liquid consistency for the pie, I like little dry inside so made this way. Enjoy cooking.
