Quick stir fried prawns with a yummy sauce made with fresh orange juice, soy sauce, honey, chilli garlic sauce, ginger and garlic. Here is light and delicious Spicy Orange Prawns recipe for you all to try.
Ingredients
- Prawns 450gm,peeled and deveined
- Cornflour 1 tbsp
- Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
- Salt
For The Sauce
- Orange Juice 1/4 cup, fresh one
- Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
- Honey 2 tbsp
- Rice Wine Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Chilli Garlic Sauce 1 tbsp
To Saute
- Ginger 1 medium piece, chopped
- Garlic 3 cloves, chopped
- White Onion 1 medium, chopped
- Oil
Method
Rinse the cleaned and deveined prawns well in water, drain water well and put it in a bowl. Add salt, pepper powder, red chilli powder and mix well. Sprinkle cornflour and stir well and keep it aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together fresh orange juice, soy sauce, honey, vinegar and chilli garlic paste. Keep it aside.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped ginger and garlic and saute until fragrant. Now add chopped onion and saute for 3 minutes. Add marinated prawns and stir fry for 4 minutes. Add sauce and cook until sauce thickens and prawns are cooked. Serve hot with sticky jasmine rice or fried rice.
NB: If you don't have rice wine vinegar then add normal white vinegar. Adjust chilli sauce according to your taste. You can use shrimp also for this recipe. If you have spring onion chop them and sprinkle on top while serving. Enjoy cooking..
