Curry Leaves Chutney

Here is very delicious and healthy curry leaves chutney recipe for you all to try.

  • Curry Leaves 1 cup
  • Coconut 1/4 cup , grated
  • Green Chillies 4 
  • Tamerind pulp 1 tbsp
  • Ginger small piece chopped
  • Chana Dal 2 tsp
  • Urad Dal 2 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Asafoetida 1 pinch
  • Salt
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Dry red chilli 2 nos
  • Oil

Clean curry leaves , wash nicely in water and dry in sieve. 

Heat a kadai or pan, add 1 tsp oil. Add cumin seeds and saute for 2 seconds, then add chana dal and urad dal roast till it gets light brown in colour. Add curry leaves and roast for 2 minutes. Put off flame and keep it for cooling. Once its cool put roasted curry leaves, dal, green chilli, coconut, ginger and salt in mixer grinder. Add tamarind pulp and 1/4 cup water and grind chutney finely. 

Take a nonstick pan with little oil, temper mustard seeds and saute dry red chilli and add asafoetida powder, once its ready pour on top of the chutney. Serve this chutney with idli, dosa, vada or rice.
