Stuffed Squid, something deferent and delicious. Here is recipe for you all to try.
Ingredients
- Squid 1 medium size
- Onion 1 medium size, chopped
- Ginger 1 small piece, chopped
- Garlic 4 nos, chopped
- Green Chilli 3 nos, chopped
- Tomato 1 small one, chopped
- Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilli Powder 3/4 tsp
- Garam Masala Powder 1/4 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Coriander Leaves few chopped
- Curry Leaves 2 sprigs
- Salt
- Oil
- Tooth Picks 2
Clean the squid and separate the tentacles. Apply little turmeric powder , 1/4 tsp of chilli powder and salt to the body part of the squid and steam for 2 minutes. Cut the tentacles into small pieces and saute keep it aside.
Heat a pan with oil on medium heat and once oil is hot add chopped ginger and garlic, saute for 1 minute. Now add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes. Add chopped green chilli and one sprig curry leaves saute for 1 minute. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and black pepper saute for few seconds on low heat. Add chopped tomato and salt stir well. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Open and add squid tentacles and cover and cook for 2 to 3 minutes or until it cooked and soft. Add chopped coriander leaves and 1 sprig curry leaves stir well. Switch of flame and keep it aside.
Fill the 3/4 th of the squid body with the tentacle masala and lock the open end of the squid tube with toothpicks.
Heat oil in a frying pan and put the stuffed squid in a low flame and fry both sides till it start to turn light brown. Serve hot with Rice Or Roti Or Bread.
NB: If you get small or baby squid use those once, it tastes good. Here i got medium size squid, it was nice but i like baby once. Please take care the heat while frying the stuffed squid. Stuffing you can make according to your taste. Enjoy cooking..
