We know Oats is healthy and nutritious food, it has vitamins, fibre and minerals. Normaly we make oats porridge or oats upuma, for a change you can make a dosa and its instant no need to grind and keep for fermentation and all. So here is simple and healthy Oats Dosa recipe for you all to try.
- Oats 1 cup
- Semolina / Rava 2 tbsp
- Rice Flour 2 tbsp
- Green Chilli 2 nos, chopped finely
- Coriander Leaves 1 tbsp, chopped finely
- Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
- Butter Milk 1/4 cup

- Oil / Ghee for making dosa
Method
In a small jar just crush the oats and keep it aside. Take a medium size bowl and put crushed oats, semolina, rice flour and salt combine well. Now add chopped green chilli, coriander leaves and cumin seeds, mix well. Add butter milk and mix well. We need dosa better consistency, if need add water accordingly. Let it sit for 20 minutes.
Heat a non stick tawa / dosa pan, pour a ladle of batter and spread it lightly in a circular motion as you do for normal dosa. Drizzle a tsp of oil / ghee around the dosa. Make medium size dosas, else you will not be able to flip over the dosa. Keep it on medium flame and cook dosa. When it is cooked, flip it over to the other side. Do it carefully as this dosa will be very soft. Once its ready serve with any chutney or with sambar. Serve this hot else won't be nice.
NB: If you want to make this dosa little hot and spicy then you can add red chilli powder or black pepper powder. I have made and posted recipes Oats Upuma, Oats Puttu and Oats Omelette Enjoy cooking..
