Rosemary citrus spritzer, its a nice drink for a warm afternoon. It has a good aroma with rosemary, lemons and oranges give it a refreshing tartness, and sugar and honey rounds out the sweetness. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Lemon 2
- Orange 4
- Rosemary 4 sprigs
- Sugar 3/4 cup
- Honey 1/4 cup
- Ice
- Soda Water
Rosemary, Lemon and Oranges slices to garnish.
Method
Peel of thick strips of zest from 1 lemon. Juice the lemons and oranges into a liquid measuring cup, you should have about 1 and half cup of juice. Top off with water to make 1 cup.
Combine zest, juice, rosemary, sugar and honey in a medium sauce pan over medium heat . Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly to dissolve the sugars. Remove from heat and let keep for 10 to 15 minutes. Strain and discard solids and let syrup cool completely.
To serve fill a toll glass with ice cubes, add 2 to 3 table spoon of syrup, fill with soda water and stir. Garnish with rosemary sprigs, orange and lemon slices.
