Pan roasted green peas, a quick and simple side dish. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Green Peas (fresh / frozen) 2 cups
- Oil
- Salt
- Turmeric Powder pinch
- Garam Masala pinch
- Coriander powder 1/4 tsp
- Chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Flakes 1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Onion 1 medium size, finely chopped
- Green chilli 2 finely chopped
- Garlic 4 cloves, finely chopped
- Ginger 1 medium size, finely chopped
Method
If using fresh green peas cook and keep aside, if its frozen peas then put it in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain and keep aside.
Heat a thick bottom nonstick pan with 2 tbsp of oil, add chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies saute for 2 seconds, add chopped onion and saute well till it becomes translucent. Then add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, black pepper powder and chilli flakes saute till its raw smell goes, now add green peas and combine well. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Open the lid and stir well. Sure for 2 more minutes and put off flame. Serve warm with Roti.
