It is a unique way to prepare Broccoli and decided to try this. Florets are roasted after being toast in olive oil and sprinted with Salt, pepper and sliced garlic.
- Broccoli 1 Cut into florets
- Olive Oil 3 tbsp
- Garlic 5 cloves, minced
- Salt 1 tsp
- Pepper Powder 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice 1 tsp
- Red Pepper Flakes a pinch (Optional)
Pre heat the oven 200 oC.
In a large bowl, toast the Broccoli with Olive Oil, Salt, Black Pepper and Garlic. Spread the Broccoli in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
Bake under florets are tender, enough to pierce with a fork and the edges are browning, about 15min. Turn once half way through the baking process and add red pepper flakes (if using). After baking squeeze lemon juice liberally over Broccoli before serving.
