Eggless Omelette

These tender, fluffy, egg free omeletes are great and easy and quick to make. healthy and nutritious breakfast.

  • Chickpeas flour(Besan / Gram flour) 3 cups
  • Water 2 1/2 to 3 cups
  • Onion 1/2 cup finely chopped
  • Coriander Leaves handful finely chopped
  • Ginger 1 inch piece , peeled and minced
  • Turmeric Powder a pinch
  • Green Chilli 2 minced
  • Tomatoes 1 medium chopped
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • salt as per taste


Mix the flour and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Gently add water and whisk well to a smooth batter without any lumps. 

Add the chopped Onions, tomatoes, coriander leaves, turmeric powder, green chilli and ginger mix well.

Heat a non stick tawa over medium flame add 1 tsp oil pour a ladle full of the batter and spread evenly (or swirl the pan).

Cook for a minute on both sides until lightly browned.

Remove and serve hot with some brown bread or white bread accompanied with coriander chutney or mint chutney or tomato sauce.
