Prawns Fry

Prawns fry, its a famous dish from Kerala. Prawns fried in coconut oil, it gives good aroma. Here is recipe for you all to try.

  • Prawns 12 nos
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
  • Chilli Powder 1 tsp
  • Kashmiri Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Pepper Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Lemon Juice 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt
Clean prawns and drain water and keep it aside. Combine ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, kashmiri chilli powder, pepper powder, turmeric powder, lemon juice and salt and make a paste. Marinate the prawns with this paste and keep aside for 20 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry it for 5 to 8 minutes, if you fry it for long, prawns will become hard. Serve warm with rice or roti.
NB: Use coconut oil, will get nice flavour. Enjoy cooking.
