Kerala style fish roast, its delicious and simple recipe for you all to try.
Ingredients
Clean and marinate fish pieces with 1tsp red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder and salt. Keep it for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the fish pieces and keep aside. Add some more oil in the same pan and add chopped ginger and garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add sliced onion and saute for 2 minutes, add green chilli and saute for few seconds. Add 1 tsp of red chilli powder, 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder, 1 tsp of kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and saute well till the raw smell goes off. Add chopped tomato and saute for 2 minutes. Cover and cook for 2 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft. Open and add fish slices and combine well. Add curry leaves and stir well. Cover and cook for 1 minute. Check salt if required add accordingly. Put off flame and serve with rice, chapati or appam.
NB: If you like sour taste, then add 2 tsp of tamarind juice while cooking. You can use King fish slices, pamphret slices or any other white fish. Enjoy cooking.
