In a bowl take rice flour, salt and oil mix well. Boil water and mix with rice flour, till the flour thickens. Make medium size balls or small balls or a big roti and steam for 8 to 10 minutes.  I made medium size balls, after steaming once its cool cut into 4 pieces and keep it aside.

In a mixer put grated coconut, shallots, cumin seeds, red chilli powder, turmeric powder  and salt, just crush not a smooth paste and keep it aside.

In a pan heat oil temper mustard seeds, curry leaves and red chilli.  Add chopped onion and saute for 3 minutes, then add ginger and green chilli saute for 1 minute. Add crushed coconut mixture and saute for 2 minutes. Check salt if require add accordingly. Sprinkle little water and combine the mixture well. Now add kozhukatta pieces and mix well with masala and cover n cook for 2 minutes. Put off fire and serve warm.

NB: if you like little sour taste in the masala, you can add one tomato or small piece of tamarind. That also taste good. You can add any flavour in the masala. Try your version. Enjoy cooking..
