Strawberry Tart

A layer of fresh strawberries is baked with a layer of puff pastry, its an easy to make tart that looks extremely good with the strawberries around it. Here is recipe for you all to try.

  • Strawberries 200gm
  • Sugar 1 cup, powdered
  • Cinnamon Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Puff pastry sheet 1 sheet, frozen
  • Egg 1
  • Whipped Cream 

Preheat oven to 200 degree C, line a baking sheet with butter paper. Take a medium size bowl

and put sliced strawberries, sugar and cinnamon powder, mix well. 

Cut pastry sheet into 4 rounds with a 4 1/2 inch -round cookie cutter. Arrange on prepared pan . Take one tbsp of strawberry mixture into the centre. Pleat pastry around edges. Brush pastry with egg white. Bake 12- 15 minute, until puffed and golden. Once it cools down, dust with powdered sugar and serve with whipped cream. 

NB: I have used store bought Tart cups for this recipe, If you are using store bought tart cups then no need to bake for 12 minutes and all. Just bake 5 minutes. You can make puff pastry at home. Enjoy cooking..
