Purple cabbage orange salad, colourful and flavourful easy to make salad. Purple cabbage, commonly known as red cabbage. It helps to improve our immune function and help to prevent cancer. Its a low calorie food, so good for weight loss. It has vitamin C, A and K. Also get antioxidants and a small amount of dietary fibre. So try to include this vegetable in your diet. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Purple Cabbage 1/2 piece
- Orange 1 peeled and cut into chunks
- Olive Oil 1 tbsp
- Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tbsp
- Orange Juice 1/2 tsp
- Lemon Juice 1/2 tbsp
- Chilli Flakes 1 tsp
Clean and rinse cabbage well with water, drain and keep for sometime. Then slice the cabbage thinly. Take a medium size bowl, add sliced cabbage, add chopped orange. Toss with olive oil, apple cider vinegar, orange juice, lemon juice, chilli flakes and salt. Mix and keep for 5 minutes in the fridge then mix well and serve.
NB: Adjust chilli flakes and lemon juice according to your taste. If you don't have apple cider vinegar then use normal plain vinegar. Enjoy cooking.
