Beef and Spinach Stir Fry, Its an easy and delicious dish. Stir frying is a Chinese cooking technique in which ingredients are fried in a small amount of very hot oil while being stirred in a wok. Here I used beef strips as main ingredient, and accompanied by onion and spinach. You can serve this tender beef stir fry as it is as a starter or with steam rice. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Rump / sirloin Steak 500gm, cut into thin strips
- Sweet Chili Sauce 1/4 cup
- Spicy Chilli Sauce 1 tsp
- Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
- Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Garlic Cloves 3 nos, crushed
- Ginger 2 tsp, grated
- Onion 2 medium size, sliced
- English spinach 500gm, roughly chopped
- Oil use Canola oil / Sesame Oil
Rinse thinly cut beef strips with water and drain water well. Take a medium size glass bowl and add soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, spicy chili sauce, crushed garlic, grated ginger and pepper powder combine everything well. Now put beef strips in it and mix well and marinate and keep it in the fridge for 3 to 4 hours or over night.
Drain the meat. Heat the wok until very hot, add 1 tbsp of oil and swirl it around to coat the side. Stir fry the meat in batches over high heat until its browned, adding more oil when necessary. Remove from the wok and set aside.
Reheat the wok, add 1 tbsp of the oil and stir fry the onion slices for 3 - 4 minutes, or until tender. Now add the left over marinade sauce in it and stir well. Add a pinch of salt and combine everything well. Now add fried beef strips and mix everything well. Just before serving, toss the English Spinach through the beef mixture until the spinach is just wilted. Serve immediately. Enjoy cooking..
NB: Please take care while adding salt, because soy sauce has salt in it.
