A healthy, delicious and a mild curry with papaya.
- Pappaya 2 cup (raw one)
- Toro Dal (Tuvara Parippu) 1 cup
- Red chilli Powder 1 tsp
- Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp
- Green chilli 3 sliced
- Coconut 1 cup grated
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Mustard Seeds 1 tsp
- Dry red chilli 2
- Curry Leaves 2 sprigs
- Coconut Oil Or Sun flower oil
Method
First cook toor dal in pressure cooker and keep it aside.
In a sauce pan mix the chopped papaya pieces with turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and green chilli and boil with some water.
Grind the coconut with cumin seeds adding required water.
Add grinded coconut mix , cooked dal into the papaya pieces and mix well and cook for a minute. Turn off flame when boiling starts.
In another pan heat oil and splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves and chopped red chilly in the oil and fry well.
Mix the fried mustard, red chilli and curry leaves with the cooked curry and mix it well.
Serve it with hot rice or dosa.
