Chocolate Covered Strawberries and Bananas

This is one of the fastest deserts. The goodness of Strawberries and Bananas comes together with the rich taste of chocolate. The simplicity of chocolate covered fruit that makes us all smile. Hope everyone will enjoy this fast and simple desert.

Ingredients 


  • Strawberries 10 nos 
  • Bananas 2 cut into 3 
  • Semi sweet Chocolates 180gm chopped 
  • Mixed pearl sprinkles to roll. 

Method

Rince the strawberries, drain and pat completely dry. if you want keep the stem, i have removed that and inserted toothpick to hold. 

Cut the long banana into 3 pieces and insert tooth pick. 

Keep the strawberries and bananas into the freezer for 2 hours.

Put the semisweet chocolate into heat proof medium bowls. fill medium sauce pan with a couple inches of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Turn of the heat ; set the bowls of chocolate over the water to melt. Stir until smooth, remove from the heat. Line a sheet pan or plate with butter paper.

Alternatively, melt the chocolates in a glass dish in the microwave on high power for 60 seconds. Remove, stir and microwave for 10 seconds more until the chocolate has melted. Allow the chocolate to cool slightly to thicken.

Remove strawberries and Bananas from the freezer after 2 hours.

Holding the strawberry by the stem or tooth pick, dip the bottom half of each strawberry in the melted chocolate. Twist the strawberry so that the chocolates coat properly. In a plate put the sprinkles, roll the strawberries in it just for decoration. Set strawberries on the butter paper. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.

Holding the banana pieces by the tooth pick , dip bananas in the melted chocolate. Twist the banana so that the chocolates coat properly in each side. Roll the bananas in the mixed sprinkles, just for the decoration. Set banana on the butter paper. Repeat with the remaining bananas.

Keep in the fridge till you serve. Serve chilled.
