Banana Cake

Moist banana cake, easy to make and uses up overripe bananas. 

  • Butter 1tbsp
  • Milk 1/4 cup
  • Egg 1 beaten
  • Mashed Banana 1/2 cup
  • Brown sugar 1/2 cup
  • Self Raising flour 1 cup
  • chopped nuts 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • nuts chopped 1/4 cup
  • 1 tbsp all purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp coconut
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon 
  • 1 tsp soft butter


Preheat oven 280 degree C.

Combine butter, milk, egg, banana and brown sugar. mix well. fold in flour and nuts.

Pour in greased and lined soufflé dish. combine topping ingredients and sprinkle on top.

Reduce oven heat to 180 degree C and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
