Easy Hummus

Hummus, middle eastern cookery, a food dip or spread made from cooked, mashed chickpeas blended with tahini, olive oil, lemon juice,  garlic and salt.  

It serves as a complete protein  when eaten with bread.  Here is super and easy recipe of Hummus.

  • 1 can (15 ounce) Garbanzo Beans, drained, liquid reserved
  • 1 table spoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 table spoon Olive Oil
  • 1 clove garlic Crushed 
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 drops sesame oil


Blend Garbenzo Beans, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin powder, salt and sesame oil In a food processor. Stream reserved bean liquid into the mixture as it blends until desired consistency is achieved. Serve with peeta bread.
