I love salads, because its easy to make and there is no real recipe when it comes to salad. Just mix and match the vegetables and fruits with some dressing. This mixed sprout salad will give you full of energy and nutritious. So here is simple and crunchy salad recipe for you all to try.
- Mixed Sprouts 1 cup( Green Moong, White Chick peas and Brown Lentils)
- Green Chilli 1 finely chopped
- Red Onion 1 medium size, finely chopped
- Lemon Juice 2 tsp
- Black Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Olive Oil 1 tsp
- Honey 1 tsp
- Coriander Leaves few chopped finely, optional
Rinse the mixed sprouts in water and apply a pinch of salt and steam them for 5 to 8 minutes, then keep it aside to cool down. You can make mixed sprouts at home or use the store bought one.
In a bowl, mix honey, lemon juice and olive oil whisk well and keep it aside. In a medium size bowl add chopped onion, chopped green chilli and coriander leaves mix well. Now add steamed mixed sprouts into it and combine well. Now pour dressing over it and serve immediately.
NB: Combination of sprouts can be as per your choice, instead of white chick peas you can add brown chick peas or fenugreek sprouts etc. Steaming of sprout is not mandatory, i dont like the raw taste of the sprouts so just steaming and using. If you like can add some chopped tomatoes also in this salad. Enjoy cooking.
