Grapes Ice Tea, its different and refreshing cool drink. I think you all make ice lemon tea, peach lemon tea etc. When I got fresh grapes tried many dishes with grapes. Tried grapes ice tea and we liked it. You can make ice tea using green tea or caffeine free rooibos tea. Here I used normal black tea may be next time will try with green tea or rooibos. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Grapes Concentrate 2 tbsp
- Black Tea Powder / Tea Bag 1 tsp or 1 tea bag
- Water 2 cup
- Saugar 1/4 cup
- Lemon Juice 1 tsp
- Lemon Slices
- Ice Cubes
Method
I have used home made grape concentrate for this recipe. So first we can make grape concentrate.
Wash and rinse grapes in the running water to remove dirt and pesticides from the skin. Remove stem and keep it aside.
Heat a medium size sauce pan with 1 1/2 cup water on medium flame. Add 1/2 cup sugar and 2 cups grapes in it and just boil together. Once its boiled remove from the flame and keep it aside to cool down.
Now take a blender and add this grapes mix in it and blend until smooth. Place a large sieve or strainer over a large bowl and pour this juice over it. Press the pulp gently to get the maximum juice out of it. Add the 1tbsp of lemon juice in it and mix well. Now pour this in a bottle and keep it in the fridge and you can use this whenever needed, it will stay in the fridge for few months.
Now we can make black tea, take a small sauce pan and add 2 cups of water and bring to boil. Once it starts boiling add tea dust if you are using that else once water boil put off flame and add tea bag and cover and leave it for sometime. Add sugar in it and mix well. Once its cools down keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Now you can mix grapes concentrate and black tea mix combine well. Add lemon juice and keep it in the fridge for 1 hour . To serve take a tall glass add ice cubes and lemon slices and pour this grapes ice tea over it and serve immediately. You can add some mint leaves also when you serve.
NB: With the above measurement you can serve this for 3 or 4 depends upon your glass. Enjoy cooking..
