Egg And Chicken Stuffed Buns

#4  Egg and Chicken stuffed Bun

Its a delicious Indian recipe. You can feel the egg and chicken masala in each and every bite of it. And making this is very simple. Its a super delicious snack. Its a perfect dish to make during Ramdan season. Here is recipe for you all to try. 

  • Bun 3 nos
  • Egg 3 nos, hard boiled
  • Chicken Breast 250 gm, boneless 
  • Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder 1/4 tsp
  • Onion 1 big size, chopped finely
  • Ginger 1 small piece, chopped
  • Garlic 3 cloves, chopped
  • Green Chilli 3 nos, chopped
  • Curry Leaves 1 sprig
  • Coriander Leaves 2 tsp + 1/2 tsp
  • Egg 2 nos
  • Pepper Powder 1tsp
  • Salt
  • Oil 
  • Ghee 1 tbsp

Clean the chicken breast and marinate with salt, turmeric powder and black pepper powder and keep it for 10 minutes. Then cook well and shred the chicken pieces and keep it aside. 

Cut 3 buns and 2 eggs into halves and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and saute for 2 minutes on medium heat. Add chopped green chilli, ginger and garlic and saute till the raw smell disappears. 

Add salt, red chilli powder, coriander powder, and garam masala and saute well. Add shredded cooked chicken and and stir well. Add chopped coriander leaves and curry  leaves and mix well and cook for 4 minutes on low flame. Then put off flame and keep it aside. 

Take the half bun piece, and make a slot at the centre with a knife. Open this slot little more and fill the half sliced boiled egg and 1 tsp of chicken. Cover it with more chicken masala. Repeat the process with the other pieces of bun and keep it aside. 

Take a bowl and mix together egg, pepper powder, 1/2 tsp chopped coriander leaves and little salt. 

Heat a nonstick pan, add 1 tbsp of ghee. Take one of the stuffed buns, dip this into the egg mixture and coat well on all the sides of the bun. shallow fry it by the stuffed side of the bun down touching the pan. Turn it to the other sides and cook until done. Repeat the process with the remaining stuffed buns. Please cook it on a low flame else it will burn. Serve hot with tea or coffee.

NB: The filling you can change according to your wish. You can fill fish or meat instead of chicken.
