Ingredients
- Oats 1 1/2 cup
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Cinnamon Powder 1 tsp
- Baking Powder 1 tsp
- Flax Seed Powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Milk 1 1/4 cup, used full cream milk
- Egg 1
- Vanila Essence 1 tsp
- Sunflower Oil 1 tbsp
For the Sauce
- Strawberry 150 gm, fresh once or frozen
- Maple Syrup 1/2 cup
- Butter 1/2 tbsp
Method
Put the oats and salt into a blender or food processor and process until you get a smooth flour. Take a medium size bowl, put egg and whisk well. Add now the milk, vanilla essence and oil whisk everything well. Slowly add our oats flour now and mix well with a fork or a spoon. Add baking powder, cinnamon powder and flax seed powder in it, combine everything well. If the batter is too thick, add some more milk and mix everything well. No need to keep the batter to rest, it will thicken again.
Take a fry pan or small sauce pan and keep it on medium flame. Once its hot add butter, then add chopped strawberries and saute for a second. Add maple syrup and saute for few more seconds and put off flame and keep it aside.
Take a non stick fry pan and keep it on a medium flame. Grease some butter once its melts pour 1/4 cup batter and keep for 2 minutes a side, once bubbles starts coming flip over and cook the other side for 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and keep it in a plate. Don't press down to the pan cakes as they cook. Prepare rest of the batter in the same way, you get 8 or 9 pan cakes. Serve immediately with our prepared strawberry sauce. Enjoy..
NB: You can substitute maple syrup with honey or brown sugar. If you have raspberry or blueberry can make sauce with it. You can use almond milk or oats milk instead of regular full cream milk.
