Limoncello Sangria

Limoncello Sangria, its a perfect summer cocktail. Light, citrusy and refreshing one. Its good to try during this festive season. Limoncello is an Italian lemon liqueur mainly produced in Southern Italy. In Northern Italy its called Limoncino. Traditionally, limoncello is made from the lemon zest or peel without the pith. The zest is steeped in rectified spirit until the oil is released. The resulting yellow liquid is then mixed with simple syrup. Here is Limoncello Sangria recipe for you all to try. 




Ingredients
  • Limoncello 1/2 cup
  • White Wine 300 ml
  • Club Soda / Sparkling Water 1 cup
  • Strawberries 1/4 cup , sliced
  • Oranges 1/2 cup, sliced
  • Lime 1/4 cup, Sliced round once
  • Sugar 1/4 cup
  • Water 2 tbsp
Method

Take a small sauce pan and heat it on medium low flame add water and sugar simmer over medium low heat until the sugar dissolved, keep it aside.

Take a pitcher or glass jar add limoncello, wine and fruits and mix well. Add prepared sugar syrup and mix well. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours or more. Add the club soda or sparkling water while serving. 

NB: you can add fruits as many as you want. If you want to prepare this Sangria ahead then can make and keep in the fridge but please take care not to add club soda, add while serving only. Enjoy Cooking..
