Raita is an Indian, Pakistani and Bengladeshi side dish- made with curd together with raw or cooked vegetables. Its a simple preparation dish. Here is recipe for you all to try.
- Curd / Yogurt 2 cups
- Green chilli 2, chopped
- Onion 1 medium size, chopped
- Cucumber 1 tbsp, chopped
- Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp, roasted
- Black Pepper Powder 1/4 tsp
- Pomegranate Seeds 1 tbsp
- Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp, chopped
- Salt
- Sugar 1 tsp
Method
Take a bowl and curd and whisk till smooth. Add sugar, salt, black pepper powder and cumin seeds and stir till sugar is dissolved. Add chopped green chilli, cucumber, onion and half of the chopped coriander leaves. Stir and pour the raita in a serving bowl and garnish with pomegranate seeds and remaining coriander leaves. You can chill in the fridge for 15 minutes and serve raita. Serve with Biriyani or any other masala rice or with Roti.
