Easy Nenthrapazha Payasam, its very easy and simple payasam and needs very few ingredients. Normally we all make Nenthrapazha Pradhaman and me too like nenthrapazha pradhaman very well, posted recipe earlier. Few days back read somewhere this new recipe and I don't remember exactly from where and tried in my way, it came out really well, so thought of sharing with you all. Do try this recipe during this festive season. Enjoy cooking..
Ingredients
- Plantain ( Nenthrapazham) 1 medium ripe
- Milk 2 cup
- Mithai mate or Milk maid 300gm
- Cardamom Powder 2 tsp
- Cashew Nuts 1 tbsp chopped
- Raisins 1 tbsp
- Ghee
Method
Peel off plantain skin and grate it slowly and keep it aside. Take a medium size sauce pan and keep it on medium flame and add milk and mithaimate or milk maid stir well and keep it for boiling, Once it start boiling keep it in very low flame, stir in between. Take a fry pan and add 1 tbsp of ghee, once it melts add chopped cashew and roast them until golden brown, add raisins in it and roast them. Now add grated plantain and saute them for a minute until it changes color in to dark yellow, do take care not to sort for too long as it changes color in to brown. Put off flame and sprinkle 1 tsp of cardamom powder in it mix well and keep it aside. Check the milk, by this time it should be medium thick consistency, add the sauteed plantain with nuts and stir well. Increase the flame into medium and stir well. Add 1 tsp of cardamom powder in it and combine everything well. Put off flame and serve warm or room temperature or chilled. Enjoy this super simple and tasty payasam..
NB: if you need more sweetness, then add sugar accordingly.. If you wish can add 1 tsp of vanilla essence in it for more flavour..
